Jermaine Lewis is a former NFL wide receiver and return specialist renowned for his electrifying playmaking ability and pivotal role in the Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl XXXV victory. Born in Lanham, Maryland, he attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School, where he excelled as a running back and set a national high school track record in the 200-meter dash in 1992.

Lewis continued his athletic career at the University of Maryland, setting an ACC record with 193 career receptions and competing as a sprinter in the 100 and 200 meters. In the 1996 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens.

Over his nine-season NFL career, Lewis played for the Ravens, Houston Texans, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He scored 23 touchdowns (17 receiving, 6 on returns), amassed 10,170 all-purpose yards, and was a two-time Pro Bowl selection (1998, 2001). Notably, he led the NFL in punt return yards in 2001 and was a First Team All-Pro returner. In Super Bowl XXXV, Lewis sealed the Ravens' 34–7 victory over the New York Giants with an 84-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, contributing to 152 all-purpose yards in the game.

Post-retirement, Lewis has been involved in coaching and community service. He is a coach with 3 Step Sports that facilitates the Under Armour Camp Series, and established the Geronimo Lewis Foundation in honor of his late son, Geronimo, who was stillborn.
